Wow, I was amazed at how good this restaurant was. Came here before a performance and had the pre show meal deal but added an extra course. The service was amazing, and there was a good choice on the menu. When the food came, the portion sizes were really good and were top quality. I'm definitely going to be back!
Told by my son that the Sunday Roast was excellent so we booked and wasn't disappointed. Loads of vegetables and the portions were excellent. Service was excellent. We will be back again.
Been here numerous times, mostly on Sundays for their Sunday Roasts. Food is always brilliant and roast vegetable portion is huge. We specifically love the honey glazed turnip. It gets very busy here on weekends so reservation is advised.
Had an absolutely amazing Christmas lunch prior to the Panto on Sunday 10 December 2023 (having also visited for Christmas in 2022). We both had the home made soup and the trio Christmas roast. The food was wonderful and Georgia who served us was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and she worked really hard to make our experience a good one. We had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anybody. Already looking forward to our visit in 2024!
We go here for our monthly book club and media club. It is really our local go to place and very much a community cafe. People love to go for a walk around the grounds at South Hill Park , it has two lakes front and back one with a fountain., a park area and kiddies play park. There is also outdoor seating for the cafe, all along the terrace. It is well known for its lovely Sunday lunch and a firm favourite with the locals. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff always make it a nice experience.
This place is definitely worth the money and experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. Food came very quickly and it tasted fantastic! I would highly recommend taking your family here for a Sunday roast or any other day.
